Piedmont returned to action for the first time in over a week and came out hot with a pair of impressive 11-2 and 10-4 victories over Methodist. The Lions scored in double-digits in both contests marking the fourth and fifth times they've hit double-digits this season.

Bates defeated Bard 4-2 on Sunday in a 15-inning epic that saw the Bobcats rally from two runs down in the ninth to force extras in the longest game innings-wise for Bates since 2006. Junior Brandon Biggane smashed a solo home run to lead off the top of the 15th inning, putting the Bobcats (6-3) ahead for good. Senior Jack Potash was outstanding on the mound, tossing seven shutout innings out of the bullpen to earn the win, allowing just three hits and striking out four. With Bates still down 2-0 in the ninth, senior captain Chris Cimino got the rally started with a single down the right field line. Sophomore Gibby Sullivan reached on an error and junior Ben Genser bunted the runners over. Senior Noah Jankowski got the first run across the plate with an RBI groundout to shortstop and senior Dylan Azcárate reached on an error, scoring pinch runner junior Brennan Kelley and tying the game at two. Potash (1-0) was brilliant and worked around a walk and a hit-by-pitch to secure the win with a scoreless bottom of the 15th, the longest game for the Bobcats innings-wise since Bates beat Western Connecticut State 1-0 in 16 innings in 2006.

Behind one of the most explosive offensive performances the program has seen, Illinois Wesleyan overpowered Stockton, 21-6, in eight innings Sunday. IWU cranked out 21 runs on 24 hits as the Green and White posted its highest hit total since 2016 and the most runs in a game since 2017. IWU's strong offensive showing saw nine players register a hit, with seven tallying multiple. Jacob Cyrus led the way with a 5-for-6 effort that included three RBIs, four runs scored, a homer, and two stolen bases. His five hits are tied for the second-most in program history and are the most by a Titan since Brandon Skopick tallied five against Hamilton College March 14, 2018. Tristan Figus finished 4-for-5 with a team-best five runs scored to go along with three drive in. Louis Perona finished a double shy of the cycle, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a homer. On the mound, the Green and White utilized five arms. Cole Shamhart got the start, striking out two over 2.1 innings, while fifth-year Aiden Smith, Josh Ralston, and senior Luke Uhwat combined to throw four scoreless innings to close out the win.

Andrew Kell hit a go-ahead two-run double to spark a five-run ninth inning and propel fifth-ranked Salisbury past the eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, 8-4, on Sunday afternoon at Babb Field. Andrew Kell had a breakout day at the top of the lineup for the Sea Gulls, finishing 3-for-4 with the game-winning double and his first two career home runs. Kell finished with four RBIs and scored three runs. Shawn Rosemond (4-0) picked up his fourth win of the season in relief, allowing two runs on six hits in 3.2 innings. Garrett Beaver tossed four scoreless no-hit innings to open the game, allowing one baserunner on a walk and striking out four.

Thomas thrashed the SUNY Canton Roos by a score of 7-0 in a dominant win. This game served as last of nine games played in the RussMatt Invitational at various locations in Florida. The Terriers wasted no time jumping out to a 2-0 lead, thanks to Tony Meza bringing home a run and a solo home run from Matt Seymour. Seymour struck again in the fourth inning, sending another solo home run past the fence to make it 3-0. A solo home run from Aaron Young in the sixth inning extended the Terrier lead to four runs. In the seventh inning Tony Meza sent a single to right center field, which brought home Elijah Morton to make it 5-0. The Terriers tacked on a final two runs in the eighth inning. Jason Bartlett singled to right center field which scored Samuel Keblinsky, and a sacrifice play from Hayden Dippner scored Aaron Young. Terrier pitcher Andrew Pruell also played exceptionally well, striking out eight batters in seven innings pitched.

Case Western Reserve University junior right fielder Nick Harms drove in four runs and senior pitcher Tyler Horvath threw three and a third hitless innings in relief to help lead the Spartans to a 7-3 win over Oswego State in the team's first game of its Spring Break Trip at Lexington County Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina on Sunday night. The Spartans improved to 6-2 with the win, while Oswego State dropped to 2-3 with the setback. Harms finished the game two-for-five at the plate with a stolen base and four RBIs, while graduate student catcher Jack Anderson added a two-for-three day with two runs, two stolen bases, and a pair of walks. As a team, the Spartans stole seven bases in the game and totaled eight hits.

Penn State Harrisburg ended its recent skid with a doubleheader sweep of No. 11 Christopher Newport on Sunday afternoon. The Lions rolled to an 8-2 victory in the opener before taking a 10-5 decision from the Captains in a back-and-forth second outing. Carlos Irizarry and Lucas Floyd provided the firepower at the plate in game one, while Fisher Druck turned in another strong start on the mound before Kyle Mahady closed things out in Penn State Harrisburg's 8-2 win over CNU in Sunday's opener. Kevin Lehner hit a two-run blast and the Lions (6-5) used a five-run seventh inning to create separation in a 10-5 win over nationally-ranked Christopher Newport (8-5) in Sunday's nightcap.

Patrick Murphy tossed seven shutout innings, leading Wesleyan to a 5-0 season-opening win over Gustavus Adolphus in Arizona. The Cardinals (1-0) scored two first inning runs and never looked back, defeating a Gusties (6-2) team that had lost just once in their first seven games of 2024. Coming off a breakout junior year wherein he led the team in nearly every pitching statistic, Murphy opened the new season with a stellar seven-inning outing to pick up the win. He allowed just four hits and three walks with six strikeouts on 106 pitches. Between the fourth and sixth innings, Murphy retired nine consecutive batters while he allowed just one hit after the second inning.

The Shenandoah Hornets opened up conference action with a wild doubleheader sweep over Hampden-Sydney Sunday afternoon. The Hornets (12-1, 2-0) won game one after taking a 7-2 lead into the seventh inning but gave up five runs to the Tigers to be down 8-7. The Hornets then put up three runs in the ninth as Joey Mitchell pitched the final 2.1 innings to secure the 10-8 win. In game two, Hampden-Sydney hung seven runs on the Hornets in the first inning. But throughout the second and third innings, Shenandoah tied the game at 7. The Tigers matched the Hornets four runs in the third to regain an 11-7 lead. Now it was Shenandoah's turn to put up seven runs in an inning and take their first lead of game number two, 14-11. The theme of this game, no lead is safe as the Tigers tied the game again in the fifth. Chandler Ballenger broke the tie in the sixth to plate Frankie Ritter. Gavin Horning, 2-6 in game two (both triples), started the four-run eighth for the Hornets before Kyle Garrett added one more insurance run. Jackson Sherman pitched 3 innings to pick up the win before Anthony Arrichiello closed out the final 1.2 innings to give the Hornets a 20-15 lead to start 2-0 in conference play.

Muhlenberg scored eight runs in its last three at-bats to come from behind and defeat Gwynedd Mercy, 9-4, in its first game in Florida. The Mules (2-4) dropped their second game of the day, 7-3 to Emerson. Sophomore Mason Mehling struck the big blow in the Gwynedd Mercy, crushing a tie-breaking three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth. Muhlenberg trailed 3-1 in the sixth and had a runner on first before getting five straight two-out hits to turn the game around. Muhlenberg led Emerson 3-1 through four innings, breaking a 1-1 tie in the fourth on a double to the left-center gap by sophomore Evan Virno. Ryan Riccio beat out a two-out infield single to bring in another run, but the Lions plated runs in each of their last four at-bats to come away with the win.

Ithaca began its spring break trip with a 6-5 upset win over No. 21 Arcadia at Lexington County Stadium on March 10. With the win, Ithaca is now 4-2 on the season and has four straight victories after an 0-2 start to the year. The Knights pulled back to within a run at 5-4 in the fifth on a groundout, but an RBI single from Louis Fabbo gave the Bombers a two-run cushion in the sixth and IC held on for the win. Rothstein scored on the base hit. Colin Leyner earned the win in 7.0 innings of work with three strikeouts. Sean Kelly tossed the eighth inning and struck out one, while John Griffin picked up his second save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.

Hobart split with Purchase on Sunday, winning the opener 10-1 and dropping game two 8-6. Senior Ty Gallagher was 4-for-6, including two doubles and a triple, driving in three runs and scoring twice. First-year Sean Garvin added three hits with two RBIs and two runs scored. First-year lefty Trevor Kimball got the start in the opener. He struck out five and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning to earn his first collegiate win. "Trevor was on today taking a no hitter into the sixth. Our defense continues to make play big plays and game changing ones at that especially a highlight reel catch by Joe McCoy in center to end it. Offensively, we barreled up a lot of balls. We strung hits together with two outs, including the five-run inning with no one on. Anytime we can win 3 out of 4, it's a good weekend. I'm proud of this team and the makeup we show."

FDU-Florham (5-5) secured a clean sweep in their opening day at the Ripken Experience down in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina when their offense combined for a total of 31 runs and 39 hits on the day during their victories against Dean (0-2), 10-1 and Clarks Summit (2-9), 21-9 on Sunday afternoon. The Devils were spotlighted today by Jack Giovenco who went 7-for-9 with four RBI, two doubles, a triple and four runs scored through two games. Aaron Santos combined for five hits, four RBI, a double, a home run and scored five runs while Zach Ganca brought home five runs on two hits with a grand slam and crossed home plate three times on the day.

For the second day in a row, St. Olaf College rebounded from a loss in game one with a win in game two to come away with a split of its four-game set at Luther College on Sunday at Luther Baseball Field. After Luther (6-4) took the opener 4-3 in extra innings on a walk-off solo home run in the eighth, three St. Olaf (4-4) pitchers held the Norse to three hits in a 10-1 victory in game two. Over the two games, seven Ole pitchers combined to hold a Luther offense that entered the day averaging over 10 runs per game to five runs on 12 hits over 15 innings. The second game was shortened to a seven-inning contest after the opener went to extra innings.

Benedictine remained unbeaten to start the season by swinging past #23 Webster 14-5 in Florida. Webster moved in front by plating two in the bottom of the fourth and opening a 3-2 edge. The lead was short-lived with Benedictine putting up crooked numbers in three consecutive innings. Logan Gregorio, the preseason All-American who has reached base in 37 consecutive games dating to last season, connected on a three-run homer in the fifth, his first of two in the game. Holding on to a 5-4 edge in the sixth, the team plated three more runs and did not look back. Gregorio backed up his preseason credentials by finishing with four hits, three for extra bases and six RBIs. Turelli and George Betevis both tallied three hits as Benedictine finished with 15. Nick Kosmetatos upped his record to 2-0 by working five innings. Austin Pizer backed him up with 3.1 and did not allow an earned run while Nick Shelton closed out the win.

UMass Boston took the field for game three in their opening spring break trip series against Lewis and Clark College. The Beacons took the game and the series by a score of 10-1 and improved to 3-2 on the young season. The Beacons got the bats going quickly with two early runs in the top of the first but the Pioneers would find an answer for one of the runs in the bottom of the third off an RBI groundout. UMass Boston added six more runs in the top of the ninth to salt the game away. Max Moss would go on to strike out three batters and limit the Pioneers to one run in his six innings of work. The Beacons' bullpen made up of sophomore Ethan Hunt, senior Logan Lawrence, and sophomore Josh Garner would hold Lewis and Clark to their one run and allowed only one hit in their three total innings of work.

Washington University outslugged the University of Chicago, 12-8, in the series finale, Sunday. With the win, WashU recorded a three-game series sweep of the Maroons. Additionally, for the first time since 2020, the Bears offense put up 10-plus runs in four consecutive games. The Bears, who are riding a four-game winning streak, own a record of 9-3. Chicago's record dipped to 1-6 on the year. Junior Sebastian Guzman got the start on the bump for the Bears. Guzman earned a no-decision in the contest, tossing 3.2 innings of work, allowing five hits and two runs. First year Townsend Stevenson registered his first collegiate win out of WashU's bullpen. Stevenson fired 2.1 innings, surrendering just one hit and one run. Stevenson fanned four Maroons in his outing. WashU outhit the Maroons by a final tally of 12-9. Junior Brandon Buday led WashU's offense with a 3-for-5 showing, including a game-high three RBI.

No. 7 nationally-ranked split its two games on Sunday at the Snowbird Classic at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Big Red dominated in an 18-3 win against the United States Merchant Marine Academy in game one, but then came up just short, 7-6, against Kean in game two. Denison scored five runs in the bottom of the first, all unearned, and led 9-0 after scoring four times in the third inning. The big inning to put the game away was a seven-run bottom of the sixth inning that came on just three hits for the Big Red. Game two was a case of missed chances for Denison. Tyler Stone was 3-for-3, falling a triple short of the cycle. He added two RBI and three runs scored. Kyle Adorno and Christian Pellone also finished with three hits each as the Cougars outhit Denison, 14-10. Rob Salvatore earned the win after tossing six innings of relief. He allowed three hits and eight hits while walking one.

Powered by a single from senior second baseman Devyn Vezina in the bottom of the seventh, UMass Dartmouth edged the University of St. Joseph (Conn.), 4-3 in RussMatt Tournament action. The Corsairs move to 2-4, while the BlueJays are now 1-5. Cooper Wixon went 1-for-2 on the afternoon with an RBI and two runs scored. TJ Keefe was 1-for-3 with a run scored, while Devyn Vezina had a hit with an RBI. On the mound, junior hurler Nick Pappas earned the victory, allowing just one hit with one run allowed. He struck out seven batters over 4.0 innings of work, surrendering just one walk. Rosati earned the save, giving up just one hit in the top of the ninth. For the BlueJays, sophomore shortstop JJ Fox went 2-for-4, while Fritz was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Junior pitcher Chase Swain shouldered the loss, allowing three runs (1 earned) on four hits over 6.0 innings. He struck out nine, while walking one. Rookie Alec Ash came on for the final 2.0 innings of relief, surrendering one run on two hits with a walk and a strikeout.

Freshman pitcher Casey Williams hurled seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits to go along with seven strikeouts, to earn his first collegiate win as Rhode Island College defeated Wisconsin Lutheran, 9-4, at the Gene Cusic Classic on Sunday afternoon. Junior first baseman Daniel Trzepacz staked RIC to a 3-0 lead with a solo homer in the first and a two-run single in the second. Senior designated hitter Cole Podedworny notched an RBI single in the fourth and classmate shortstop Izaiah Rivera and right fielder Sean Helfrich each ripped RBI doubles in the eighth. Trzepacz, Podedworny and Helfrich each went 3-for-6 on the day. Trzepacz knocked in a team-best three runs.

Junior Chaz Harvey went 5 for 9 with two doubles, a homer, five runs and six RBI, while junior Aaron Lautenschlager was 6 for 9 with three doubles, three walks, four runs and four RBI, as Randolph-Macon opened ODAC play with a doubleheader sweep, 8-5 and 21-10, at Ferrum on Sunday afternoon. Senior Patrick Routsis earned the game one win in relief, working 4.0 scoreless innings with three hits and one walk to make him 1-0 on the season. Junior Sam Slevin fanned three over the final two frames to record his third save. RMC put up a crooked number in the top of the first in game two on their way to the sweep.

Trey Castile and Easton Dunwoody threw complete game shutouts to guide Simpson College to a sweep of Saint Joseph's on Sunday at the RussMatt Invitational. Simpson (6-2) used three unearned runs between the sixth and seventh innings to win the opening game 3-0. In game two, the Storm tallied four runs in the third and sixth innings as well as one in the fifth for a 9-0 victory. Castile and Dunwoody limited the Monks (1-4) to just four hits and three walks on the day, combining for 18 strikeouts in the two wins. With his 10th strikeout of the opening game, Castile notched his 200th strikeout at Simpson.

Senior Tanner Santos had three hits and drove in two runs and sophomore James Clark allowed just one run on two hits over 5.1 innings as Babson College defeated North Central College (Illinois), 5-3, on Sunday afternoon at the Snowbird Classic at Centennial Park. Santos had three singles and scored a run while graduate student Luke Tanner recorded two hits and knocked in a pair for the Beavers. Grad student John Nowak reached base twice with a double and a walk and first-year Alexander Wilson reached three times with a hit and two walks, scoring a run. Clark scattered two hits and five walks while striking out five to earn his first win of the season (1-1). He didn't allow a run until the fifth inning and departed in the sixth with a 3-1 lead. Senior Jimmy Weick walked two and struck out one in 1.2 scoreless innings of relief and graduate student Zach Magee earned the save after pitching the final two innings, giving up just one earned run on one hit and a walk.
