Bethel got back in the win column with a 4-2 win over Loras down in Davenport, Fla. Now over the midway mark of the spring break trip, the Royals sit at 5-5 for the year. Matthew Carlsen and Quentin Platt would each drive in runs on sacrifice flies to center in the third to open the scoring. With a run in the fourth on another sac fly, that was all Bethel needed. Ryan Parker picked up the save tossing a scoreless ninth stranding two runners on after giving up back-to-back walks.
In a back-and-forth midweek game, 11th-ranked Birmingham-Southern defeated Emory, 11-10, after freshman Charlie Banks got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning. A late tie did not last long as RBI singles from the top of the order (Eli Steadman, Andrew Dutton, and Jackson Webster) extended the 'Southern lead back to three, 10-7. The Panthers looked to be taking control, but the Eagles fought back with three more runs in the top of the seventh to, once again, tie the game. Both teams had 10 runs on the board after nine innings of play as the game headed to extras. Trip Barron continued his fantastic outing with another shutout inning in the top of the 10th. With a chance to get back in the win column, Charlie Banks stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the inning. He was then hit by a pitch to score Jackson Webster and give the Panthers the 11-10 win on the night. Trip Barron finished the game with three innings pitched, allowing only one hit and no earned runs as he recorded his first career win.
Freshman Jase Howell went three for three with four RBIs, with two runs scored and one home run, and sophomore Matthew Arnold went four for four with two RBIs, as Hampden-Sydney College took a 12-1 non-conference win over Southern Virginia University, Tuesday morning. Sophomore Jacob Miller-Bopp got his first win of the season. Miller-Bopp (1-1) started and went the distance for the Tigers, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing four hits, one run, and one earned, with four strikeouts, and two walks.
Fourth-ranked Salisbury left the yard on four occasions on the way to a 15-2 walloping of the Lycoming Warriors on Tuesday afternoon at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Dylan Winebrenner finished 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, four RBIs, and four runs scored from the cleanup slot. Andrew Kell hit a leadoff homer for the second straight game, ultimately going 3-for-3 with two doubles, one rib-eye, one steal, and three runs. Cole Williams (2-1) anchored a strong bullpen performance for the Sea Gulls, tossing 3.2 perfect innings and striking out three for the win. Theron Mrohs, Justin McDermott, and Alex Craig each tossed a scoreless frame, combining with Williams to finish off 6.2 no-hit innings from the relief corps. Bryce Sterling tossed 2.1 innings in an abbreviated start, surrendering two runs on four hits with no walks and two strikeouts on 41 pitches. Zachary Pleska and Even Mok each finished 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI to pace the Warriors.
TCNJ improved to 5-0 on Tuesday with wins over Gwynedd Mercy and No. 7 Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Lions (5-0) first beat the Griffins (4-5) by a score of 11-3 and then upset the seventh ranked Eagles (1-1) by a score of 15-7. Despite Gwynedd Mercy striking first in the bottom of the first, TCNJ bounced back in a big way, scoring 11 unanswered over the next seven innings. Starting pitcher Jordan Gray settled in after giving up a run in the first, going the next six innings scoreless totaling 11 strikeouts. TCNJ showed up ready to go for the second game of the day as they put up a four-spot in the top half of the first on three hits. The UW-LX Eagles proved this would be no easy task, answering with three runs in the home half of the first and two more in the second on five hits to take a 5-4 lead. TCNJ could only be held down for two innings as they added on another four runs in the fourth, regaining an 8-5 lead. UW-La Crosse crept back to within a run by the seventh inning as they scored in the fifth and the seventh to bring the score to 8-7 but a Chris Reeder put the icing on the cake in the ninth with a three-run rocket over the left field fence. The home run also put Reeder over 100 career RBIs.
York (Pa.) scored four runs in the eighth and two more in the ninth to register a walk-off 9-8 win over #17 Misericordia on a sun splashed Tuesday afternoon in York. The Spartans, who are now 3-1 against ranked teams this year, scored all six of their last runs with two outs as they rallied after being down 8-3 heading into the eighth inning. The big hit in the eighth, setting up the heroics in the ninth was a Chris Betler grand slam deep over the right field wall, slicing the Spartan deficit to one. Kennedy mowed the Cougars down in order in the ninth to give the Spartan offense a chance to win it in the bottom of the frame. The Cougars got two quick outs as they looked ready to close out the game but two hits set up Michael Tinneny's game-winning double to right, ending the game with York's second last at-bat victory of the year.
Visiting Amherst posted a 19-6 victory over WPI on Tuesday afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex, snapping the Engineers' seven-game, season-opening win streak. WPI falls to 7-1 with the loss, while the Mammoths improve to 2-0. Amherst pounded out 22 hits while taking advantage of five WPI errors in the game. Starting pitcher Jack Sampedro got the win for the Mammoths, going four innings, and allowing only one run on one hit with two strikeouts. Amherst's offense was paced by a 4-for-5 performance from Luke Padian who drove in three runs, and Christian Fagnant who had four RBI on three hits with a double and a home run. Jack McDermott also drove in three runs on three hits with a pair of doubles, while starting pitcher, Sampedro, aided his cause with two hits and three RBI. Jack Dove, Charlie Lafreniere, and Javier Irizarry also added two RBI for the Mammoths.
Trey Kinnan put down the perfect bunt, and Oglethorpe walked off on a squeeze play in the bottom of the 11th inning to secure a 4-3 win over Covenant Tuesday night in a nonconference game at Hermance Stadium. It was Oglethorpe's third straight win and got the Stormy Petrels back to .500 at 8-8 overall on the year. Sam Mills scored the winning run and got the inning started when he reached on a hit batter with one out. Carter Guarino then singled him to third in the next at-bat, and Kinnan took the first pitch he saw to drive in the game-winning run. A game destined for extra innings, Kinnan's RBI sacrifice ended a five-inning scoring draught for both teams. Oglethorpe took the lead in the bottom of the third when Kinnan, who walked and stole second, scampered home on a wild pitch. The rest of the scoring in the game happened in the sixth inning when Covenant played three in the top half to go ahead 3-1 only to see Oglethorpe answer back with two to tie in the bottom half. Brick Conway came home on an error from Covenant to start Oglethorpe's sixth-inning scoring, then Mills singled home Mason Pearcy in the same at-bat on a liner up the middle.
Case Western Reserve University first-year left-handed pitcher Quinn Saunders struck out a program-record 14 batters on Tuesday morningto lead the Spartans to an 11-8 win over Trinity College (Conn.) at Lexington County Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina. Making just his second collegiate start and third appearance, Saunders' 14 strikeouts over his six innings of work broke the 20-year-old school record of 13 strikeouts previously set by former Spartan Dan Ruef against WashU on March 7, 2004. Saunders allowed just three runs on three hits and two walks in the outing, earning the first win of his career and improving to 1-0 on the campaign. Junior outfielder Logan Andreyko homered for the second straight game and finished the contest two-for-five with three runs, two RBIs, and a walk. Graduate student third baseman James Powers added a two-for-five showing with a double and four RBIs while graduate student catcher Jack Anderson, first-year designated hitter Carson Walker, graduate student second baseman Franco Alonso, and first-year shortstop Nate Arterburn each had a pair of hits.

Denison doubled up the United States Merchant Marine Academy by a score of 10-5 during its final game at the Snowbird Classic this season. It was the second game for Denison (9-2 overall) against the USMMA (2-5) in three days after the Big Red put up 18 runs in what was the first-ever meeting between the two teams on Sunday. The star of the day was Eric Colaco, who finished 2-for-4 with three RBI's, two runs scored and two walks while also accounting for half of Denison's 10 stolen bases in the game. After swiping 70 bases in the first two years of his career and entering the game on Tuesday tied for Tanner Johnson '18 for the program record with 79 career steals, Colaco now stands in a class all by himself still with nearly two full seasons to go.

Senior Wyatt Stanley tossed three scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory and junior Sam Slevin recorded his fourth save asRandolph-Macon pulled out a 6-3 win at Marymount on Tuesday evening in a match-up of teams receiving votes in the D3baseball Top 25. MU put up two in the seventh and had two on with two away. Junior Bere Bauers came in and got a strikeout looking to end the threat. The Saints had a leadoff single in the eighth, but Bauers got a fielder's choice, a strikeout and an interference call to keep it at 6-3. In the bottom of the ninth, Slevin recorded a strikeout and two groundouts to secure the victory.
Senior Brant Savage went 4-for-6 with two RBI and classmate Tanner Santos singled, doubled and drove in four runs to help Babson College defeat Franklin & Marshall College, 18-8, in non-conference action on Tuesday morning at Terry Park. Junior Walter Sadowsky went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and four runs scored, senior Jack Julian singled, drove in two runs and scored twice, and sophomore Chris Basile singled and finished with two RBI for the Beavers. First-year Tristan Pearl earned his first career win with 2.2 innings of relief and sophomore Zander Teator struck out the side in the ninth.
Rochester had big first innings in both ends of a doubleheader, but was only able to salvage a split against host William Peace on Tuesday afternoon at the USA Baseball National Training Center. William Peace took game one by an 8-6 score, with the Yellowjacket bats breaking out in a 12-4 victory in game two. Rochester got the tying runners on base in the top of the ninth of the opener with a Quincy Jaksch double and Dan Tirabassi walk, but a double play ground ball ended the contest. In game two, the Yellowjackets again started quick and backed the early start with a crooked number in the bottom of the fourth, doubling its run total to 12. The Pacers never threatened the rest of the way against reliever Magnus Sivertson who was credited with the save after going 4.2 innings out of the bullpen. He struck out three.
A Gettysburg six-run second inning led the way to a 14-5 win over the University of Northwestern. Robert Murphy hit 1.000 on the day, going 4-for-4 with three runs and one walk. Benji Bruce split time as designated hitter and pitcher for Northwestern, going 4-for-5 at the plate with one run and one RBI and striking out three in two innings of work on the mound. The game was all Gettysburg until Northwestern broke up the shutout in the bottom of the sixth on two errors and a single. The Eagles added four more runs on two singles, a sacrifice fly, and a Bullets error but would get no closer.
Montclair State took a 6-0 lead in the first inning and went on to defeat Redlands 12-2 in a non-conference game. The Red Hawks extended the lead to 9-0 until Redlenads put up their first run. Another Bulldog run in the eight was the end of their scoring as MSU closed the game out with a final run in the ninth.
Roger Williams defeated the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday, picking up their fifth straight win to begin the season at Russmatt Tournament, at Northeast Regional Park, 19-6. This was the first meeting all time between the two programs. Owen Hibbard went 4-for-4 at the dish, with three RBIs and a walk, and came across to score twice in the contest. Christopher Flynn went 2-for-2 on the day with four RBIs and a pair of walks, with a pair of doubles and a sacrifice bunt. Jack Morin added a pair of hits and four RBIs with Nick Sheehan earning a pair of hits and three RBIs. Danny Powers picked up the win in the contest, coming in in relief going 1.2 innings, without allowing a batter to reach.
Plattsburgh State scored early and often as they defeated Middlebury 14-11 in road non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. Justice Suafoa and Adam Wein combined to drive in seven runs, leading the team to an impressive road win. Suafoa finished the day 2-4 with a career-best four RBI as he also walked twice and scored three runs. Wein drove in three runs on three hits, as he doubled and walked in five plate appearances. Andrew Veit earned his first win of the year on the mound, going 6.1 innings allowing six runs and striking out three batters. Dylan Bass closed the door in the ninth as he struck out two batters and tallied another scoreless inning, keeping his ERA for the season at 0.00 through 4.1 innings of work. Alex Kornblau homered and scored four runs while Kyle Cremin was 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI double.
Scoring three runs in the first inning, North Central (Ill.) held a lead the entire game despite Stevens's best efforts to steal a late-inning comeback. Ultimately, the Cardinals prevailed, winning 10-9 on Tuesday at the Snowbird Baseball Classic. Luke Lehnen entered the game looking for his third save of the season. He struck out the first two batters in the ninth, before allowing an unearned run. With the bases loaded and two outs, Lehnen forced a strikeout to secure the 10-9 victory. Jackson Bland led all batters with three hits while Dave Fitzpatrick drove in three runs. CJ Jensik earned the win by throwing 4.1 innings, allowing just two runs, one earned, and striking out three. Lehnen picked up his third save and also struck out three.
Salve Regina University graduate student Matt D'Amato had three basehits, including a double, and drove in three runs while starting pitcher Hayden Duke struck out seven in six innings of two-hit ball as the Seahawks defeated the Kohawks of Coe College, 9-1, on Tuesday morning at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida. Sophomore outfielder Shane Williams also drove in three runs on a pair of singles in two at bats. Freshman Sean Woodruff faced 10 batters and struck out five while allowing just one baserunner in three scoreless innings to earn the save.
Catholic improved to 7-3 on the season with a 7-1 victory over New England College on Tuesday afternoon at the Ripken Experience. Catholic started off strong, manufacturing a run on three hits in the opening frame with two more in the third, taking a 3-0 lead. NEC got one back against reliever Danny Prior as Tyler Fenton ripped an RBI triple to right center, cutting the deficit back to three runs but that was all for the Pilgrams. The final runs of the contest came in the sixth inning as Catholic added three more before Prior closed out a 7-1 victory.
Meeting on the diamond for the fourth time in program history and the first time since 1975, Washington and Lee University defeated Hamilton College 8-2 on Tuesday afternoon at Cap'n Dick Smith Field. The Generals (8-5) got on the board early as Frankie Maloof blasted a three-run home run to give the Blue and White an 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Continentals (2-3) scored their first run of the game on a wild pitch before pinch hitter Quinn Perkins drove in Lucas Herman on a single through the left side of the infield, cutting the deficit to six. Raleigh Craft closed out the game for the Generals on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings with one hit allowed and one strikeout.
