Texas Lutheran completed the weekend sweep of Centenary (La.) with a dominant 12-2 win on Sunday at Red River High School in Coushatta, Louisiana. Prior to the scheduled game, the two teams started in the eighth inning of Friday's suspended game that ended in the top of the eighth with TLU leading 3-1. The Bulldogs would set the tone for today's action immediately by scoring four runs in the eighth and two in the ninth for a win in game two. The Bulldogs (3-0, 3-0 SCAC), who scored 12 runs on 16 hits in the game, held just a 3-2 lead before exploding for a five-run seventh inning to put the game away and complete the sweep. Kash Durkin went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, and three RBI, while Drew Burnett went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Triston McGowan pitched a complete game in just his second career start, allowing two unearned runs on four hits. After entering Sunday with just six career strikeouts, McGowan struck out a career-high 11 batters to pick up his first win of the season.

A five-run ninth inning powered Puget Sound to an 8-2 victory over Redlands on Sunday, keeping the Loggers unbeaten at 4-0 on the season. With the game locked in a tight 3-2 battle heading into the final frame, Puget Sound's offense came alive. Senior first baseman Jim O'Brien delivered the decisive blow, launching a three-run home run to right field to cap off a big inning for the Loggers. O'Brien finished the day 2-for-5 with four RBIs, while Cody Hirano added a two-run single in the ninth to give Puget Sound breathing room. Puget Sound's pitching staff put together a strong collective effort, holding Redlands to just six hits. Starter Preston Crockett went three innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three. Mitchell Holliday (1-0) earned the win after tossing two shutout innings in relief. The Loggers used seven total pitchers, with Zach Robman closing out the game with a dominant ninth inning, striking out two.

On a windy day at Capital One Park, Marymount swept the Mustangs of Stevenson University, 16-3 and 4-3, to start off the season 3-0. In the opener, Parker Casselberry threw a scoreless top of the frame, the Saints got on the board first in the bottom of the opening inning then tacked on two more in the bottom of the second, With two more in the bottom of the third and a five-run fourth, marymount was on the way to their second win of the season. Jackson Bourdeau threw a perfect top of the seventh with two strike outs to close out the decisive win. In game two, Stevenson took their first lead of the day lead with a three-run inning in the top of the third. Marymount marched their way back in the bottom of the fourth, plating a pair of runs to reclaim the lead. Liam Progulske, in his first outing for the Saints, threw 4.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win on the mound, notching seven strikeouts.

Lewis & Clark senior Will Heron tied the NCAA DIII record for home runs in a single-game in game two, as part of an offensive explosion that saw the Pioneers rack up 25 runs in a doubleheader sweep of host Whittier College, 14-4 and 11-4. Heron hit four of the Pioneers eight home runs on Sunday, as Lewis & Clark earned their first two wins of the 2025 season and secured the series win over the Poets. The senior first baseman hit two solo home runs, a two-run shot and a grand slam to become the first NCAA DIII player since 2023 to hit four homers in a single game and the 23rd player in NCAA DIII history to accomplish the feat. As a team, Lewis & Clark piled up 36 hits, 25 runs, 15 extra-base hits and eight home runs on Sunday. The team's pitching was also extremely solid, with starters Caden Hodina and Luke Ritter each allowing three runs or fewer over five innings. The Pioneers three starting pitchers combined to limit Whittier to eight earned runs over 15.1 innings. Owen Eisen, Hodina and Ritter struck out a combined 10 batters and issues just three walks. Heron's 16 total bases in a game are tied for 13th all-time in Division III for a single-game.

Roanoke College completed a Sunday doubleheader sweep of William Peace. The Maroons unleashed the offense for a 13-0 victory in a seven-inning game 1 and pulled out a 3-2 win in game 2. Roanoke started hot, scoring three runs in the first inning. They kept it going in the third, tacking on four more. RC continued their every other inning explosions in the fifth with five more runs. Corey Coogan then singled in the sixth to add the final tally. Junior Trevor Orth got his first win of the season, pitching five scoreless innings. He allowed just one hit while striking out three. In the nightcap, Roanoke struck first in the top of the seventh off a Jack Fehlner single before William Peace answered back with two in the bottom of the inning. Tucker Schiavoni then evened the score on a sacrifice fly in the eighth before Kyle Moshier drove home the game-winning run in a double in the ninth. Owen Wojciechowski recorded 10 strikeouts in his 5.2 innings of work. He only gave up five hits and no runs in his outing.

Shenandoah University returned to the diamond for a non-conference doubleheader against Wilkes University, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Hornets (4-0) secured a sweep, edging out Wilkes 6-5 in game one before dominating game two with a 10-3 victory. Shenandoah utilized a pitching-by-committee approach throughout the weekend, helping the team get off to a strong start. Offensively, Noah Cornwell and Kyle Garrett led the charge with three hits each, while Connor Houser launched the Hornets' first home run of the season. Jaime Padilla made a significant impact in game two, drawing four walks and scoring every time he reached base, contributing to the Hornets' sweep of the Colonels.

Brandeis University opened its 2025 campaign in

Oglethorpe University. The Judges scored in the top
of the seventh inning to with the first game, 3-2, then
dropped the nightcap, 11-6.

Alfred State swept their season opening doubleheader against Ferrum after scoring 30 runs on the day, 12-3 and 18-6. The Pioneers start the season 2-0. In game one, Ryan Bailey picked up his first win of the season as he pitched 6.0 innings only allowing three runs on five hits with eight strikeouts. Spencer Riehler came in relief and pitched 1.0 innings notching a strikeout. At the plate, Zach Young led the way going 4-5 with a home run and a double for two RBIs. Jordan Hughes followed going 2-4 with a homer and a double for three RBIs. In game two, Christopher Mattoon picked up the win after pitching 5.0 innings scattering five runs on nine hits with two strikeouts. Tyler Korsky went 2-5 with two RBIs, while Jordan Hughes tallied three RBIs.

Piedmont completed the series sweep on Sunday with a 4-2 win over #22 Chapman. The Lions pitching staff continued its spectacular start to the season as Adam Metivier earned the win going 6.2 innings. An RBI single by Sean Bailey drove home what proved to be the game-winner making it 3-0 Lions. Jack Gilsenan doubled in the sixth to drive in Nelson for the final run for the Lions. Metivier did not allow a hit in the fourth or fifth innings and despite giving up two hits to start the sixth inning, he worked out of a jam with a double play and a fly out. In the seventh, the Panthers were able to string together three hits to plate two runs and force a pitching change for the Lions as Averett Thompson entered to shut down the Panthers' attack. Thompson pitched one complete allowing two hits with one strikeout before Braden Simms entered to close out the contest. Simms earned his second save of the season going 1.1 innings allowing no hits and striking out two.

Millikin opened the 2025 season with a trip to Conway Arkansas to face Westminster (Mo.) and Hendrix. The Big Blue spilt a pair from Westminster in games played at the University of Central Arkansas. In game one, Millikin won 15-4 in seven innings. Millikin scored two runs in the second and three in the third. Leading 5-1, the Big Blue broke open the game with four runs in the fourth and five in the fifth. Andy Niebrugge led Millikin going 3-4. Junior Zach O'Donnell was the winning pitcher in his Millikin debut throwing five innings allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out four. Westminster won game two 1-0. The Bluejays scored the winning run in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly from Aden Pecka. Jack Page held Millikin scoreless on two hits for the win. Joshua Escobeda picked up the two inning save.

Occidental defeated George Fox 14-12 as the Bruins wrapped up a West Coast trip at visiting Anderson Field. Down four runs in the bottom of the 8th, the Tigers remained patient at the plate with the first two batters of the inning reaching base on walks. After a wild pitch, Jeffery Cambra was up to bat with two runners in scoring position and delivered a single past the shortstop to bring in the runners and make the score 12-10. An error would load the bases for Alejandro Ducreux, who would single to shallow left field to bring in a run and Dan Major would work a walk in a great at bat to tie the game at 12. A wild pitch that rolled out of play brought in the go ahead run for Oxy and Tommy Munch padded the lead to allow for some breathing room in the top half of the inning by hitting a sacrifice fly to right field to put the Tigers up 14-12. Sean Elsee, who entered the game in the 7th inning, closed out the game in the 9th and sealed the win for Oxy. Elsee earned the Tigers' first win of the season on the mound, pitching three innings while allowing only three hits and one run while striking out seven. Tyler Kubo had a standout day at the plate, going three for five with a triple and three RBIs. Jeffery Cambra had two hits, three runs and three RBIs. Nick Gonzales and Dan Major each also had two hits in the game.
