The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fourteenth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the ninth Team of the Week of the 2025 season.
Games of April 13-20, 2025
C Jake Fallers, Sr., Penn State-Abington
In a 2-1 week for the Nittany Lions, Fallers had a career performance as he went 8-for-14 at the plate (.571) to go along with eight hits, 10 RBI, nine runs, two walks and most impressively, five of his eight hits were home runs.
1B Dane Camphausen, Gr., Case Western Reserve
Camphausen hit .643 (9-for-14) with a 1.714 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage over the four games of the series, connecting for three doubles and four home runs, while scoring seven runs, driving in 15, and drawing five walks.
1B Dustin Hendrix, So., Hilbert
Hendrix hit .800 (4-for-5) this past week, while slugging 2.000 and posting a 2.833 OPS over two games played. The Hawks first basemen logged eight RBI over six plate appearances and added a pair of runs scored. He logged a double, triple and home run for his three extra-base hits.
2B Harry Genth, Sr., Haverford
Genth delivered a historic and dominant performance in a perfect 5-0 week for the Fords in Centennial Conference play. Genth hit .556 (10-for-18) with seven home runs, 16 RBIs, a 1.778 slugging percentage, and a .704 on-base percentage. He set a new Centennial Conference record by homering in six straight games.
SS Danny Jackson, Jr., Cortland
Jackson hit his first two collegiate home runs in Cortland's doubleheader sweep at Canton. Jackson finished the week batting .455 (5-for-11) with two homers, two doubles, two walks, eight RBI and six runs.
3B Joe Becker, Sr., Saint John's (Minn.)
Becker batted .455 (5-for-11) with a 1.920 OPS (1.273 slugging percentage and .647 on-base percentage) with three home runs, five runs scored, four RBI and six walks as SJU went 2-2 last week on the road. He became the program's all-time leader in career hits and runs scored in the Johnnies' sweep of St. Olaf April 15.
3B Brett Velzis, Sr., Mass. Maritime
Velzis batted .632 (12-19) with four home runs, two doubles, 13 RBI, eight runs scored, five walks, a 1.421 slugging percentage and a .708 on-base percentage in a 5-1 week for the Bucs.
OF Lenny Forth, Jr., Centenary (La.)
Forth was red-hot for the Diamond Gents in their series win at home over Dallas as he finished a sizzling 8-11 (.727) with a .750 OBP and slugged a whopping 1.273 with eight RBI, a home run, three doubles, and seven runs scored. Forth also stole two bases and did not strike out in his 11 at-bats all weekend.
OF Connor Massimini, Jr., East Texas Baptist
Massimini started three games hiting .625 (5-for-8) with a 2.125 slugging, collecting four home runs and nine RBI with four stolen bases.
OF Chas Terni Jr., So., Mitchell
Terni Jr. was virtually unstoppable during a pivotal GNAC doubleheader against Johnson & Wales, going 5-for-8 (.625) across the two games, with a double, triple, and two home runs, while driving in seven runs and scoring four times.
DH Adam Cootway, Sr., UW-Whitewater
Cootway had an outstanding week from the plate. Cootway?s stats were bolstered after hitting 3 home runs and 9 RBIs in a single game. For the week, the senior led the team with a .556 batting average (10-18) with two doubles and five home runs for a 1.500 slugging percentage. Cootway also batted in 14 Warhawks in the four-game series.
SP Adam Biewen, Sr., Gustavus Adolphus
Biewen struck out a career-high 14 batters in a complete-game victory over Hamline. Biewen tossed six scoreless innings - including four three-up, three-down frames - before the Pipers tallied their lone run of the game in the seventh. Biewen allowed just four base runners against 24 batters faced, with three hits and one walk issued as Gustavus earned an 8-1 win.
SP Brett Gaynor, So., UW-Oshkosh
In his ninth career start, Gaynor threw just 85 pitches across seven innings to earn his first career no-hitter and the 12th in program history during UW-Oshkosh's 12-0 win over UW-River Falls at Tiedemann Field in Oshkosh on Thursday. Gaynor (3-2) retired 20 of the 21 batters he faced and struck out six batters, including two in the sixth inning.
SP Logan Lockhart, Jr., Kalamazoo
Lockhart earned a win and a save on Saturday at Trine. In game one, he started and held Trine scoreless for six innings before being replaced in the seventh up 10-0. Lockhart struck out eight, walked two, and allowed just two hits. In game two, Lockhart pitched the ninth inning with Kalamazoo up 8-7, retired all three batters he faced, including a strikeout to end the game. In addition, he hit .304 on the week playing outfield when not pitching with two doubles, one home run, and seven RBIs.
SP Jack Martin, Sr., Ramapo
Martin finished 2-0 on the mound this week with two big wins over non-conference foe New Paltz and rival Rutgers-Camden. He shut out the Scarlet Raptors with a career-high 15 strikeouts in a complete game while scattering four hits. In the win over the Hawks earlier in the week, Martin earned the win in relief. In three innings of work, he let up just two hits with four strikeouts, and he once again did not walk a batter.
RP Bijan Anvar, Sr., Franklin & Marshall
Anvar picked up three saves in three relief appearances on the mound. Anvar tallied one strikeout against Ursinus and two strikeouts in both games against Washington College. The senior also only allowed one base runner and didn't allow a hit in his 2.2 innings of work. Anvar sports a 3.58 ERA with a team-high four saves so far this season.
RP Logan Eisenbarth, Jr., UW-Whitewater
Eisenbarth was a key reliever for the Warhawks in their conference series against UW-Stevens Point. In his first appearance, Eisenbarth went 3.0 innings of perfect baseball, only facing nine batters and fanning four in his third win of the season. The junior also appeared in the series finale, not allowing a single hit and striking out two in his inning of work.
