The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eleventh season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the first Team of the Week of the 2022 season.

C EJ Sanchez, So. Concordia (Texas)
Sanchez started the season behind the plate for Concordia (Texas) with a 3-for-7 (.419) opening weekend, setting the plate for the rest of the Tornados. He threw out 1-of-2 runners trying to steal.
1B Isaac Kim, Fr., Pomona-Pitzer
Kim started off his collegiate career leading the Sagehens to a 3-1 start. Kim hit .538 (14-for-25) and slugged .846 in four games belting four doubles and two home runs. He scored 13 runs and had eight RBIs.
2B Conner DeForge, Gr., Kean
DeForge batted .857 (6-for-7) as Kean started the season 3-0. He doubled once, scoring two and driving in two.
SS Jason Jucker, Sr., Brevard
Jucker helped lead the Tornados to a 4-1 start with a 9-for-19 (.474) performance at the plate with nine RBI, four runs scored, two doubles, and a triple. He had a career-high five hits vs. Allegheny on Sunday.
3B Luke Weddell, Sr., Salisbury
Luke Weddell showed no signs of rust at the plate as he batted .667 (4-for-6) or in the field during the top-ranked Sea Gulls' doubleheader sweep of Alfred State on Saturday. Weddell posted a 1.700 OPS over 10 plate appearances, driving in four runs and scoring four of his own. At third base, Weddell converted three assists and snagged a screaming liner in the ninth inning of game one.
OF Tommy Holcomb, Sr., Stevenson
Holcomb batted .455 (5-for11) in a 1-2 opening for Stevenson. Of his five hits, three went for extra bases with two doubles and a home run. He scored three runs and had four RBIs.
OF Justin Costanzo, Jr., Widener
Costanzo batted .625 (5-for-8) in three games for the pride. He slugged two home runs for a 1.375 slugging percentage. He score four runs and drove in three.
OF Jake Stank, Fr., Anderson (Ind.)
Stank went 6-for-11 (.545) with a homer, 2 RBIs and 4 stolen bases last week. He finished with a .818 slugging percentage. Stank led off the season by taking the very first pitch he saw of his career yard.
DH Ian Hancock, Jr., Birmingham Southern
Through the first three games of the season Hancock was 7-for-11 (.636), and started the season a perfect 7-for-7 through the first two games. He recorded eight total bases with one double and drove in two runs. Hancock leads the team in four different offensive categories.
SP Sayer Collins, Jr., East Tex. Baptist
Collins opened his season with a win over Centenary (La.). He allowed three hits and struckout eight as the Tigers shutout the Gents. The following week, he threw a one-hit shutout with a career-high 13 strikeouts in a 1-0, seven-inning win over Belhaven. He retired the side five times, including the final 12 batters of the contest. Collins has not allowed a run in 14 innings this season.
SP Logan Martin, Jr., Sewanee
It was a great start for Martin, as he recorded seven shutout innings in Sewanee's 2-1 win over Anderson in game two of the series. He tossed seven shutout frames, scattered two hits and did not walk a batter. When runners were on, they stayed put, as Martin posted an 0-for-7 mark with runners on base. He also posted a career-high 13 strikeouts, including punching out the side in the second and seventh innings.
SP Chambers McGilberry, So., Millsaps
McGilberry struck out eight batters, while surrendering just one hit in 7.0 innings pitched to propel the Majors to a 9-0 win over Millikin on Saturday. He only faced 22 batters, yielded zero walks and allowed no runners to reach scoring position.
RP Matt House, Sr., Shenandoah
House saved both ends of a DH sweep over Widener for Shenandoah. he pitched one inning giving up a hit and striking out two.
RP Brady Joyner, So., Willamette
Joyner earned the save in Willamette come-from-behind win over East Texas Baptist on Sat., Feb. 5. He entered the game with a runner on first and no outs in the top of the 8th and pitched the final two innings. He struck out two batters and allowed no runs, no hits, and two walks. Joyner also pitched 1.1 innings in relief against Centenary on Feb. 6. He struck out out two batters, while giving up one hit (a double), one run, and one walk.
