Ooutfielder Scott Giordano

Giordano made the All-SUNYAC first-team choice for the second time. In 2019, he was named the league's Player of the Year. Since joining the Red Dragons three years ago, Giordano has played in every Cortand game.

Durant was a first team All-SUNYAC selevtion at pitcher. Before joining transferring to Cortland, Durrant competed in NJCAA Div. III World Series with Herkimer Community College.

BeVard earned All-SUNYAC honors for the third time in 2021. He was first team in 2019 and second team in 2018, and additionally was the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2017

Gauthier was an All-Region performer in 2021. He started his career with rival SUNY Fredonia and transferred to Cortland in 2020.

Scouting report

  • The Red Dragons are no strangers to the playoffs, having an active streak of 28 straight appearances in the NCAA regionals and qualified for their 15th appearance in the D-III World Series. In 2015, Cortland swept through the D-III World Series for their only D-III World Series win.
  • Cortland's 2021 SUNYAC tournament title was their first since 2016. Scott Roberts was named MVP of the SUNYAC tournament.
  • Cortland RHP Scott Roberts has now made the DIII World Series twice and with two different teams. As a freshman, Roberts was part of the 2017 D-III Championship Cal Lutheran squad.  The most appearances with a different team in the D-III World Series is three by Jake Ganajian.
