MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Wesley College's Rob Benedict (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) had four hits and stole five bases to lead the Wolverines to an impressive 23-6 win over Penn State Harrisburg.

Wesley (11-2) scored five runs in the first, but trailed entering the second after the Nittany Lions (0-5) pushed six runs across home plate in the bottom of the first.

A sacrifice fly in the third inning by Corey Jefferson (Wilmington, Del./Archmere) tied the game, before a three run fourth gave the Wolverines the lead.  Kevin Murphy(Middletown, Md./Middletown) singled in the go ahead run and scored the final run of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Bryan Reshetar (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) that made it 9-6.

Wesley tacked on eight more runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to put the game out of reach.  Three runs in the eighth and another in the top of the ninth capped the scoring.

Seth Hastings (Seaford, Del./Sussex Tech) drove in five runs on the afternoon, going 3-for-5 at the plate.  Geoff Kimmel (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) had three hits, walked twice and scored four times.  Ryan Polk (Croydon, Pa./Truman) came off the bench to collect three hits, doubled and drove in three runs.  Murphy had two hits for a Wesley offense that had 22 in the game.  He also scored three runs and swiped three bases.

Wesley's bullpen tossed 8.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing the Wolverines' offense to take command of the game. 

AJ Robledo (Melbourne Beach, Fla./Florida Air Academy) picked up the win with 5.1 shutout innings.  He scattered six hits and struck out one batter without issuing a walk. Corey Kyte (North East, Md./Rising Sun) and Michael Berry (Milford, Del/Milford)combined to pitch the last three innings.

Tim Gonzalez had three of Penn State Harrisburg's 13 hits in the game. 

Ian White took the loss, allowing 14 runs on 11 hits, four walks and four hit batsmen.  He did not strike out a batter.

Wesley will look to keep rolling with a game against Catholic on March 8 at 3:00 PM.
