TUCSON, Ariz. – Sean Callegari threw a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Douglas College (Canada) baseball team past Norwich University, 15-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Kino Sports Complex. Chandler McLaren went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and KP Hlatky had a bases-clearing triple in the first inning to power the Royals offense.

Freshman RHP Devin Cilley came on in relief for the Cadets to record the final two outs of the first inning. Cilley went on to allow three hits while striking out two in three-plus innings of work before being lifted for junior LHP Alexandro Cardoza during DC's five-run fifth inning.

Norwich managed to get on the board in the bottom of the fourth when sophomore OF Dustin Shimkus drove in David Maxfield with an RBI groundout to third.

Maxfield reached base on the only hit for the Cadets, a single deep in the hole. He then stole second before advancing to third on a failed pickoff attempt.

NU will next take to the diamond on Thursday, when they battle the Plainsmen of Northeastern College (Colo.). The opening pitch is set for 4 p.m. local time.
