HITTER OF THE WEEK
Brent Schaekel, OF, Jr., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas junior outfielder Brent Schaekel (Houston, TX / Concordia Lutheran) went 8-for-15 with two doubles and five RBIs to lead the Tornados to a 3-1 showing at the Arizona Desert Classic. Schaekel also improved his hitting streak to 16 games that dates back to last season. He walked four times, scored three runs and did not strike out. He had a 4-for-4 game in an 8-2 win over LaVerne.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Scott Weinschenk, RHP, So., Concordia Texas
Concordia Texas sophomore right-handed pitcher Scott Weinschenk (Brenham, TX / BHS) earned the win in a start against Whitman by striking out a career-high 13 batters and allowing only one run over eight innings. Weinschenk surrendered just two hits and did not issue a walk.

HITTER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Guest, 1B, Sr., Texas-Dallas
Texas-Dallas senior first baseman Kyle Guest (Houston, TX / Spring Branch Memorial HS) went 9-for-18 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs over four games at the Arizona Desert Classic. Guest has at least one hit in every game and also scored four runs. He was only a home run away from the cycle in a loss to LaVerne.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tyler Erickson, RHP, So., Ozarks
Ozarks sophomore right-hander Tyler Erickson (Cabot, AR / CHS) tossed a complete-game with eight strikeouts to earn the win in a 4-1 game with Westminister. Erickson scattered four hits over the nine frames. He didn't allow a hit after the sixth inning.

HITTERS: Sul Ross State DH Dakota Dill went 7-for-17 with six RBIs over four games. . . . Schreiner OF Justin Martinez went 5-for-7 with two RBIs over two losses. . . . Texas Lutheran SS Daniel Yancelson went 4-for-9 with a triple over two games. . . . Texas-Tyler INF Isaac Tijerina went 4-for-9 with four RBIs over a three-game sweep of Arlington Baptist. . . . LeTourneau DH Chris Bertram went 3-for-4 in a 2-1 win over NCAA Division II Castelton State. . . . Mississippi College 3B Spencer Brunson went 4-for-10 with a triple over three games. . . . Ozarks OF Chris Driedric had four hits over a 2-1 week.
PITCHERS: Texas Lutheran RHP Brad Orosey allowed just two earned runs and struck out 10 over six innings in a tough-luck loss against Southwestern. . . . Mississippi College RHP Ian Underwood allowed only one run over 7 1/3 innings in a win against Blue Mountain. . . . LeTourneau RHP Travis Norris did not allow an earned run over five innings of a start against Castleton State. . . . Texas-Dallas RHP Zach Dickson surrendered only one run and struck out six in a win over Pacific Lutheran. . . . Texas-Tyler RHP Brian Shore beat Arlington Baptist by going four innings with seven strikeouts.
