Demorest, Ga. – Junior Will Edwards has one loss on the season and it came on February 12th against the Piedmont Lions in Jackson. On Saturday night, Edwards avenged his loss in a big way as he struck out 11 Lions in six innings of work to earn his third win of the season as the Majors bats came alive to knock off 15th ranked Piedmont 11-2.

The Majors started things off in the first inning with a single from senior Jules Rousselwho moved into scoring position thanks to a wild pitch. Junior Wes Perkins followed that up with a RBI double to give Millsaps the early lead. The Majors added two more runs thanks to an error by the Lions and a RBI single from senior Ryan Zemke.

Piedmont was able to squander a run in the fourth thanks to an error, but Millsaps responded in a big way in the next two innings. After a single by junior Will Lawrence, freshman Samuel Doucet laced a double to bring Lawrence all the way around from first to make it 4-1. Roussel then singled home Doucet to add another run on the board.
