Box Score (Game 1): CLU 10, CIT 0 - F/7
Box Score (Game 2): CLU 12, CIT 2 - F/7

Ciaramitaro (5-0) got all the support he would need on a first inning sac fly lifted by Trevor Koons, scoring Dominick Solley who walked and stole both second and third to set up the scoring opportunity in the opening frame.

The senior hurler recorded 11 strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work. The first six outs of the game came by way of strike outs, including retiring the side in order in the first. He sat down five straight via the K. He continued to control the Beavers, allowing just one hit and walking none. Aaron Roth and Spencer Trygg came in to throw the sixth and seventh, respectively. No CIT players reached second base in the game.

The bottom of the sixth concluded on a phenomenal defensive Beavers effort. Second baseman Blaine Matulevich made a diving grab on a line drive and flipped to shortstop Eric Schropp for the double play.

Cal Lutheran ended the game in the seventh with three runs, hitting the 10-run plateau. Solley and Koons led off the inning with back-to-back singles. Allan Kunst, just pulled up to the varsity roster, went in to pinch run at first and promptly stole second. Kevin Leonard got the nod as a pinch hitter, poking a single to right, pushing Solley across the plate. Michael Alvarez went in to pinch run at first and stole second base. Spencer DuBois ended the game with a two-RBI single to center.

The Kingsmen connected for 10 hits. Solley, Nick DeLorenzo and Nicho DellaValle each had two. Solley also swiped three bags.

CLU played flawless baseball. Garrett Smith had two putouts and an assist at third and Mike Vineyard had two putouts in centerfield.

In game two, a bloop single by Albie Lavin followed by a well hit double off the bat of the SCIAC's leading hitter, Brian Penserini put the Beavers on the board for the first time all weekend. Caltech would add a run in the third, again on a Penserini RBI hit, scoring Lavin. Kingsmen starter John LaMoure was knocked off the hill in the third. Chris Park (5-0) came in to toss 3.2 scoreless innings, striking out six and walking just one in the victory.

CLU would break the flood gates open in the sixth with nine runs on seven hits as they sent 14 men to the plate. Every batter in the lineup scored in the inning. DellaValle cleared the bases with a triple and John Leal followed suit with an RBI triple of his own, plating DellaValle. Iggy Wagner and DeLorenzo each reached base twice in the inning. Boggan drew two walks.

Wagner again ended the game in the bottom of the seventh. He connected for a two-out, walk-off inside the park homerun on a ball hit off the centerfield wall. Leal, who singled to right and stole second, came in to score before Wagner raced around the bases, standing up as he hit the plate for the final run of the afternoon.

The Cal Lutheran offense produced 12 hits with both Wagner and Leal going 3-for-4 and scoring twice. They combined to drive in five runs while DellaValle was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. Leal stole a pair of bases. Kevin Eto drove in the first run of the game for CLU on a single to center before DellaValle's triple.

Tyler Hebda entered in the seventh, forcing a pair of groundball outs to Koons at shortstop before retiring the final batter of the frame looking at strike three.

Cal Lutheran (19-8, 14-4 SCIAC) will be home on Friday, April 6 to face off with the University of La Verne, whom they were tied with atop the SCIAC standings entering the day. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
