DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Matt Hardy's bases-clearing triple highlighted a four-run, eighth-inning as Immaculata University came from behind and defeated host Delaware Valley College, 7-5, in a non-conference game.

The Aggies (14-9) took a 5-2 advantage thanks to two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. In the fifth, they loaded the bases with two outs and Pete O'Hara singled through the left side to bring in two. Then in the sixth, Matt Bodine, Mike Ferrier and Jim Calabrese had doubles with Ferrier and Calabrese driving in tallies.

However, Immaculata (16-17) cut into that lead in the seventh thanks to an RBI single by Matt Bolden. In the eighth, three walks loaded the bases with one down. Hardy stepped to the plate and he ripped a three-bagger to right-center field to give the Mighty Macs a 6-5 lead. Hardy then scored on a suicide squeeze bunt by T.J. Warner.  Hardy finished 1-for-3 while Warner was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Delaware Valley brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but Immaculata's Richard Cusic retired the final two batters on ground outs to complete his third save of the season. Alex Kobylisnki pitched two perfect innings of relief and picked up the win.

Pete O'Hara had two of the Aggies' seven hits as he was 2-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs. He notched the team's first run of the contest as he led off the bottom of the first with a triple and scored on an attempted double steal. Mike Kearney took the loss in relief.
