Baseball: Titans Dominate Bethany, 14-4

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team defeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Bethany, 14-4, today at Westminster Field. The Titans improved to 21-13 overall and 12-6 in the PAC, while the Bison dropped to 13-20 overall and 7-12 in the conference.

The Titans scored three runs in the first inning, two in the second and fourth, four in the fifth, one in seventh, and two in the eighth.

Westminster senior pitcher Justin Prejsnar (New Castle, PA / New Castle) (6-1) threw seven innings and gave up four runs off 15 hits. Prejsnar fanned four and walked two.

Senior Tim Wiand (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts) led the Titans' offense with a game-high four RBIs, while going 3-for-4 at the plate. Classmate Justin King (Fombell, PA / Riverside) followed with three RBIs, along with his sixth double on the year. Also hitting multiple RBIs was junior Chris Ross (West Pittsburg, PA / New Castle) and senior Ethan Yeager (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts)

Westminster heads to Bethany tomorrow for a PAC doubleheader. Game one is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
