WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 23 Shenandoah University ran its baseball winning streak to four games with a non-league doubleheader sweep over Susquehanna University Sunday afternoon.

Shenandoah (4-1) was 5-4 and 6-5 winners over the Crusaders (0-2).

Both wins came in walk-off fashion as junior Andrew Creamer delivered a bases loaded single in the opener before freshman John Wilt did the same in the nightcap.

The Hornets trailed 5-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh of game two and quickly tied the game on a leadoff single by Corbin Lucas, who was sacrificed to second and then came home on Nick Beall's single to left center.

After Beall was balked to second, Andrew Creamer was intentionally walked and then Daniel Freshley loaded the bases with a single to left.

Wilt wasted little time in finishing matters, lining a clean single to left to score pinch runner Cameron Lundmark with the game-winning run.

Freshman Billy Arens (1-0), who threw the final 4.0 innings, earned the win on the mound. He allowed just one hit and one walk against one strikeout in recording the final 12 outs.

Creamer and Wilt both drove in two runs with Creamer getting three hits and Wilt two.

In the opener, Shenandoah jumped out to a 4-1 lead and was three outs from victory before Susquehanna tied matters with three runs on three hits in the seventh.

The Hornets loaded the bases on a single and two walks, bringing Creamer to the plate with one out.

The junior delivered, ripping a single down the right field line to bring home sophomore J.J. McDaniel with the game-winning run.

Freshman Ryan Mossman (2-0), the third SU pitcher, earned the win. Mossman delivered a strikeout with runners on second and third to end the Crusaders' in the top of the seventh.

Junior Joe Bittner drove in two runs in the game one victory.

Shenandoah is back in action tomorrow at 2:30 against Elizabethtown.
