Baseball Drops Non-Conference Game to Eastern Connecticut State (9-1)

The Baruch College Bearcats lost 9-1 to Eastern Connecticut State University in a non-conference game played on Sunday afternoon at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, New York.

The Bearcats opened the scoring in the first inning with
Angel Tejedasmacking an RBI single to score Richard Valerio.

Eastern Connecticut State took control the rest of the game by totaling nine runs on 12 hits for the 9-1 victory.


Matthew Ballonefinished batting 2-for-3 with two singles. Jasdeep Buttar, Richard Valerioand Eric Ulinoeach had a single.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, March 10, with a non-conference doubleheader against Bard College.

First pitch at Dutchess Minor League Stadium in Wappinger Falls, New York is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
