WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The University of Scranton baseball team rode the momentum of Tuesday's thrilling victories to a doubleheader sweep against Crown College, winning 26-0 and 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Chain of Lakes Park.

The Royals (10-7) got a pair of stellar pitching performances from seniors Bobby Della Polla (Havertown, Pa./St. Joseph's Preparatory) and Matt Marinelli (Westbury, N.Y./Holy Trinity). Della Polla went the distance in the opener, striking out a career-high 18 while scattering four hits. In the second game, Marinelli tossed a complete game five-hitter while striking out nine. Neither hurler walked a batter.

In the second game, senior designated hitter Greg Monastra (West Chester, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth, and freshman right fielder Kyle Hamer (Germantown, Md./St. John's College H.S.) drove him in with an RBI triple.

The Royals added two insurance runs in the fifth on an RBI sacrifice fly by sophomore second baseman Matt Maghini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) and an RBI single by senior first baseman Anthony Duchnowski (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross)

Freshman left fielder Ray Grapsy (Covington Township, Pa./North Pocono) doubled and scored twice in the victory.
