AUBURNDALE, FL- The Terriers baseball team (0-8) was unable to come away with their first victory of the season against Freed-Hardeman (27-5-1), letting a four run lead slip away.

Thomas was able to plate four runs in the first inning, with Derek Kane (Natick, Mass.) having a bases clearing double. The Terriers would add another in the third, but the Lions would connect for three runs each in the next two innings, then another two in the fifth to jump ahead to a 9-5 lead.

FHU would add two more in the seventh, with both teams plating home a run in the eighth. Thomas would score one in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Thomas Cameron (Jackson, Maine), but would be unable to complete a comeback, losing 12-7.

Cody Vigue (Skowhegan, Maine) went 4-4 for the day, while Kane continued his strong Florida trip going 4-5 with three RBI. Isiah Fleming (Fairfield, Maine) was charged with the loss, throwing 3.1 innings, giving up seven runs, with two strikeouts.

Thomas will return to action tomorrow in day four of the Florida trip, taking on crosstown rival Colby for a double-header starting at 12pm.
