Baruch Drops 10-1 Contest to Stevens

The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a 10-1 defeat to the Ducks from the Stevens Institute of Technology in a CUNYAC contest played on Sunday afternoon in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Bearcats suffer their first conference loss to fall to 8-1, while the Ducks, an associate member in CUNYAC baseball, improves to 8-1.

The Bearcats totaled 12 hits, but scored only once while stranding 10 runners. The Ducks took control early and scored 10 runs on 15 hits.

The only run of the afternoon for the visiting Bearcats (13-10) came in the third inning.
Nicholas Pomo-Romansmacked an RBI single to score Daniel Arango.

The Bearcats will look to bounce back on Tuesday, April 16, with a non-conference single game against New Jersey City University. First pitch at Bronx Community College is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
