Despite missing out on a chance to win the ASC East Division title with their loss to UT-Tyler on Friday night, the Louisiana College Wildcats swept Saturday's Senior Day doubleheader against the Patriots, making them the only ASC East team to win all six of their conference series in 2013.

Seth Webster picked up his ninth win of the season, which leads the nation, in game one as the Wildcats used a five run third inning to pick up a 7-4 win.

Trailing 2-1 in heading into the bottom of the third, the Wildcats plated five runs on six hits, as Matt Scott and Taylor Beavers both hit two-run doubles to right field. Daniel Bonadona then added an RBI single to left field, scoring Beavers and putting LC out front 6-2.

Senior Cole Bagbey then hit his first career home run an inning later, which was all the cushion Webster needed, as the Wildcats took the first game to tie the series at one game a piece.

Bagbey would have another big game in the series finale, as he and Daniel Bonadona got the scoring started in the bottom of the second, with Bonadona hitting an RBI single to centerfield and was followed by Bagbey's RBi double to left center.

Bagbey added his second home run of the day, a two-run shot over the left centerfield wall in the sixth inning to give LC a 5-1 lead.

The Patriots would make things interesting late in the game, as Kevan House's three-run home run to deep left center off of LC starter Josh Lang put them within one run at 5-4.

LC added two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth when Mark Riendeau doubled down the left field line to score Kade Van Norman then scored on a wild pitch to take a 7-4 lead.

The drama built in the ninth as UT-Tyler scored two runs on three hits to draw within one run again at 7-6, then loaded the bases with two outs, but Josh Lang struck Steven Paramore to end the threat and win the series for the Wildcats.

Lang tossed his sixth complete game of the season, striking out nine to earn his fifth win of the season.

By taking two games from the Patriots, LC (22-16, 12-6) will host Mary Hardin-Baylor next weekend at home in the first round of the 2013 ASC Tournament.
