(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College baseball team fell, 6-1, to Capital University today (Tuesday, April 23, 2013) in a non-conference game at Thomas More Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to 17-14 and the Saints fall to 22-9.

Thomas More took a 1-0 lead in the third and the Capital scored two runs in the seventh, one in the eighth and three in the ninth for the 6-1 victory.

Sophomore left fielder Nick Connor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) led the Saints at the plate as he was two-for-four with a run scored.

On the mound, sophomore pitcher Tyler Jones (Rising Sun, Ind./Rising Sun) earned a no-decision as he pitched six scoreless innings and gave up only four hits, while striking out four. Freshman pitcher Zach Fardo (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) suffered the loss as he pitched two-thirds of an inning and gave up two runs (earned) on three hits.

The Saints return to action tomorrow (Wednesday, April 24) when they play the University of Cincinnati at 6:30 p.m. at Marge Schott Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
