Old Westbury Rallies to Defeat Baruch (9-8)

The Panthers from SUNY-Old Westbury rallied to defeat the The Baruch College Bearcats, 9-8, in a game played on Thursday afternoon in Old Westbury, New York.

The visiting Bearcats (14-11) took control early and led 8-3 during the fifth inning. Unfortunately, the Panthers (14-13-1) rallied by scoring the next five runs, which included a three run seventh inning, for the 9-8 home victory.


Angel Tejedaled the team at the plate by batting 3-for-4 with three RBI. Nicholas Pomo-Roman, John Yuksekol, and Eric Feithad two hits each in the disappointing loss.

Jasdeep Buttarscored three runs and John Yuksekolfinished with two RBI.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, April 20, with a CUNYAC home doubleheader against the College of Staten Island. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 pm at Kingsborough Community College Baseball Field.
