The Baruch College Bearcats lost a 2-1 road contest to St. Joseph's College of Patchogue on Friday afternoon in Long Island.
The loss is the team's sixth straight as they drop to 14-16 overall, while St. Joseph's improve to 16-21.
Connor Hensonis the tough luck loser, despite pitching a solid complete game with a line of eight innings, eight hits, two runs, one earned, with four strikeouts and no walks.
St. Joseph's scored their two runs in their first at-bat and kept the visiting Bearcats scoreless until the eighth inning when a Matthew BalloneRBI infield single plated Richard Valerio.
The Bearcats were unable to score another run to suffer their sixth, one-run loss of the regular season.
The team will return to action on Saturday, April 27, with a 12:00 pm game at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point, New York.
