The Louisiana College Wildcats used 13 hits and yet another complete game performance from senior ace Seth Webster to take game one of their ASC Tournament series 10-1 against Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Webster, who tied the LC Division III era record for wins with his 10th of the season, went all nine innings, scattered seven hits, walked one, and struck out six while giving up just one run, which was unearned.

LC wasted no time giving Webster run support, as they brought home three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Kyle Feazell started the scoring with an RBI single right field that scored Kade Van Norman. Taylor Beavers then followed that two batters later with a two-run single to center that scored Feazell and Matt Scott.

The Wildcats would add two more three run innings in the fourth and seventh, followed by another run on a wild pitch that scored Mark Riendeau in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Cole Bagbey, Matt Scott, Beavers, and Feazell all collected two hits a piece, while Cary Myers led the Wildcats with a 3-for-5 night at the plate.

The Wildcats (23-16) take a 1-0 lead in the series against the Crusaders and will take on UMHB at 2 p.m. on Saturday with a chance to win the series and advance to the second round of the ASC tournament. If UMHB wins the first game Saturday, the two teams will play the rubber match at 5 p.m.
