GREENSBORO, N.C. – Mike Barry hit a three-run home run among his two hits and plated five runners in Tufts University's 9-0 baseball win at Guilford College Thursday. Max Freccia added two doubles and three runs batted in to help the Jumbos improve to 7-0.

Barry belted his first homer of the season with two out in the third inning off of Guilford's Devin Ponton (0-1), one of nine Quakers' hurlers on the day. The blast opened the game's scoring. Barry delivered another big two-out hit with a two-run double in Tufts' three-run sixth inning that opened a 7-0 lead.
Guilford (10-10) had base runners in all but two innings, but the Jumbos turned two double plays and worked out of bases-loaded situations in the sixth and seventh innings.
Nick Barker had a game-high three hits for Tufts. He was one of six Jumbos with two or more hits. Tom Petry also had two hits, including a run-scoring double in the eighth.
Guilford's Jacob Roberts had two of the Quakers' eight hits. John Macon Smith singled in his first at bat and drew three walks in the game. He matched his career high with three stolen bases.
