WINCHESTER, Va. - No. 18/RV Shenandoah University earned its 16th win of the 2014 season with a 14-5 non-league baseball victory over Dickinson Monday afternoon.

Junior Michael Paul, who was named as the ODAC Player of the Week for the second week in a row earlier Monday, led SU (16-4) to the victory over the Red Devils (14-2).

Paul extended its consecutive games hitting streak to 22 games with a 4 for 5 performance that included seven RBI and three runs scored.

Paul, who has hit in every game dating back to the start of the 2013 ODAC Tournament, led off his day with a three-run HR to center, had a three-run double in the fourth and added singles in the fifth and sixth innings.

He drove in his final run on that sixth inning single to left.

Paul's only out of the day was a line shot to second base in the second.

SU jumped on Dickinson for three runs in the first and one in the second, and after DC took a 5-4 lead with a three-run third, scored six times in the bottom of that frame to pull away.

Coach Kevin Anderson's club then completed its scoring with three runs in the fifth and that single run in the sixth.

Junior Matthew Wilson (1-0), the fourth of six pitchers on the day for Shenandoah, earned the win with 3.0 innings of scoreless relief.

Zachary Carney and Garrett Wooddell got the final seven outs of the game with Wooddell working the eighth and ninth.

In addition to Paul's four hits, Billy ArensRicky Pardo and Nolan Overby all had two hits.

The Hornets are back in action on Wednesday with an ODAC contest against Bridgewater.
