North Park overcame a 3-1 deficit by scoring two runs in both the third and fifth innings to earn a 6-4 comeback victory over visiting Concordia University Wisconsin in non-conference action Thursday night.

The Vikings connected for 11 hits as four different players finished with multiple-hit games in earning their 15th win of the season, and their third in the last five games.

After Concordia scratched out a run in the top of the second inning via an RBI double, the Vikings came back with a single tally in the home half of the frame on a run-scoring single from senior Mike Coduto, who drove in Dan Sabin (hit by pitch). The Falcons responded with two more runs in the third inning off Vikings' hurler Jason Meger, but NP countered with two of their own on a solo home run from Mario Creecy, the first of his career, and a fielding error by the second baseman which allowed senior Eric Sousanes (single) to score. The Vikings then captured the lead for good in the fourth when they plated a run on a throwing error, and junior Brett Bernal capped the scoring with a two-run single in the fifth inning. Concordia tallied its final run on an RBI single in the ninth.

Meger improved his record to 4-1 on the year as he lasted six innings. He struck out three batters and walked only one while yielding three runs on eight hits.

Joe Belmonte (2 for 4, run scored), Sabin (2 for 3, three runs scored), Coduto (2 for 4, RBI) and Creecy (2 for 3, run scored, RBI) led the Viking offense.

North Park returns to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action this weekend when they host Millikin University for a three-game series, starting with a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
