Joe Krasny (Berwyn, Ill.) belted three home runs in game two of the Dominican University baseball team's doubleheader victory over the Lakeland College Muskies on Wednesday afternoon, with the Stars taking game one 11-2 and game two 18-1.  Krasny's three home runs, eight RBI, 14 total bases and five runs scored, all broke Dominican University single-game records.  The Stars' senior boasts a .422 batting average and .633 slugging percentage with 21 runs batted in and 26 runs scored.
 
As a team, the Stars wrapped out 30 hits and scored 29 runs on the day while the Stars' starting pitchers surrendered just nine hits and six walks over 15 innings of work.
 
After going 2-for-5 with three RBI in game one, Krasny blasted his first home run of the season in the bottom of the first of game two with Tim Varallo (Chicago, Ill.) aboard for the ride.  Krasny walked in the third and doubled to lead off the top of the fourth.  In the sixth, Krasny made an 11-1 lead a 14-1 lead for the Stars sending a three-run home run out to left.  Krasny then capped the Stars' scoring with another three-run shot in the seventh.
 
Joe Lyons (Chicago Ridge, Ill.) also went deep for the Stars, roping a solo shot in the top of the sixth inning in game two while Cody Schuster extended his hitting streak to 17 games, going 3-for-5 with a double in game one and 1-for-2 with three walks in game two.
 
Cody Mueller (Addison, Ill.) moved to 1-1 on the season, picking up the complete-game victory in game one.  Mueller surrendered just two runs, one earned, in the Stars' 11-2 game one win.  Mueller scattered five hits and five walks while striking out nine.  Chance Emlund (Evergreen Park, Ill.) got the win in game two, giving up just one unearned run on four hits and one walk, while striking out eight over six innings.
 
The Stars stand at 16-8 on the season and 5-3 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).  Dominican will return to Schaumburg Boomers Stadium on Saturday, hosting the Aurora University Spartans for a noon doubleheader.
