OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury baseball team picked up a 3-1 Skyline Conference win at home Monday afternoon over the visiting St. Joseph's (L.I.) Golden Eagles from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.  Old Westbury (14-18) improves to 10-4 in conference play while sending the Golden Eagles (14-15) to 9-5.

Old Westbury broke through in the second inning when Jacob Coners delivered home Byron White off an RBI single for an early 1-0 advantage.  Nick Yip then stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and lined into an inning ending double play.

The Golden Eagles answered back with two singles and a walk to load the bases in the third inning for Dan Diblasi, who helped his own cause with a sacrifice fly to score Brian Godoy for the game-tying run.

Jonathan Pagan led off Old Westbury's third with a single, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by catcher Mike Aloiso before scoring off John Angelino's two-out sacrifice hit for a 2-1 lead.

Licul stroked a double to open the home half of the sixth and moved over to third off Angelino's single.  Two batters later, Old Westbury took a 3-1 lead off Diblasi's fielding error to score Licul.

Panther started Tim Ingram (5-2) bulldogged his way to his fifth win of the season with an 11 strikeout performance.  Ingram's third complete game outing of the season saw the junior scatter two hits while allowing one run and two walks.  After allowing his lone run, Ingram then retired the next 19 batters to close out the game, including a span of striking out six straight batters.

Diblasi took the Golden Eagles' loss after surrendering three runs (two earned) off seven hits and two walks over eight innings of work.

Pagan's (2-3, 2B, R, SB) 10th multi-hit game paced the Panthers offense.

NO. 8 KEAN COUGARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the diamond on Tuesday (April 22) for a non-conference showdown with the No. 8 Kean Cougars at 3 p.m. from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex in Old Westbury, New York.
