The baseball team suffered a 13-2 non-conference defeat to the Panthers of SUNY-Old Westbury on Thursday afternoon at MCU Park Brooklyn Cyclones in Coney Island.

The visiting Panthers recorded 20 total hits, while the Bearcats were limited to two runs on seven hits.

The Bearcats scored a solo run in each of the fifth and ninth innings of the contest.

Sean Johnsonplated the first run with an RBI single down the left field line to bring home Dan Daley. Angel Tejada blasted his fourth homer of the season over the left field wall for the team's second run during the ninth inning on a cool and blustery afternoon on Coney Island.

Eric Ulinohad one of the seven hits with a double in the second inning, but was left stranded on base in the tough loss.

Nick Yip had the solid bat for the Panthers by going 4-for-5 with a triple, two doubles, two RBI and one run scored.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, April 26, with a 12:00 pm non-conference doubleheader at the College of Staten Island.
