#2 Gorloks Close in on Eighth Straight SLIAC Title, Down Red Devils

Webster jumped on top in the first as the top three in the lineup reached and scored on a bases-clearing double by Joe Winckel (SR, Bonne Terre, MO/North County HS).  Corey Lasky (SR, Vernon Hills, IL/Adlai E Stevenson HS) led off with a double, Ryan Hall (SR, Chesterfield, MO/Eureka HS) reached on catcher's interference, and Taylor Stoulp (SR, St. Louis, MO/St. Mary's HS) had a bunt single.

The Gorloks added a run on an Ian Foege (SR, Eureka, MO/Eureka HS) solo home run in the second inning and four more in the eighth.  In the eighth, Kevin Kojs (SR, New Lenox, IL/Lincoln Way Central HS) singled, and pinch-runner Jared Turner (SR, Springfield, IL/Chatham Glenwood HS) stole second.  Turner scored on a double by Matt Wollnik (FR, Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley HS).

Lasky singled Wollnik in and took second on the throw home.  Stoulp singled Lasky home and also took second on the throw home.  Winckel picked up his fourth RBI, singling Stoulp in, making it 8-0.
