With two outs, Ricky Mendiola singled to center, Kyle Koslowski singled through the left side, Prentice hit a single to right and Bobby Frantz drove in a run with a shallow single down the right-field line.

Cortland tied the game in the second when Max Rosing led off with an infield single, stole second on a strikeout and scored on Chris Jackson's RBI single to center. Cortland had runners on second and third with two outs later in the inning before Larson struck out a batter to end the inning.

Koslowski singled to center, and a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third before Prentice hit a two-run single up the middle.

Cortland got the leadoff hitter on in the bottom of the eighth when Bryan Marotta singled, but a lineout double play and a groundout stopped that threat. Anthony Iacomini singled with one out in the ninth before a pair of flyouts ended the game.

Prentice finished 3-for-4, Frontale, Frantz and Kenny Johnston were each 2-for-4, and Koslowski finished 2-for-5 for the Blue Devils. Rosing went 2-for-4 and Jackson was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Cortland.
