Bearcats Lose CUNYAC Tournament Opener

The baseball team lost their CUNYAC Tournament opener to the Stevens Institute of Technology, 6-2, on Wednesday night in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Bearcats will look to stay alive tomorrow when they will play John Jay in the loser's bracket game at 1:00 pm at MCU Park in Coney Island.

The Bearcats started the game on a positive note with
Keith Ezerskysmacking a two-run homer for the lead in the second inning.

The Ducks battled back with two runs in each of the third through fifth innings for the 6-2 lead.

The Bearcats attempted a rally and loaded the bases in the seventh inning, but could not get a run across the plate to suffer the opening tournament loss. They finished with two runs on three hits.

Stevens totaled six runs on 11 hits to record their 24th win of the season. Dan Allen led the way with three RBI.
