For the seventh time in school history and first since 2011, the Ripon College baseball team has received both the MWC North Player and MWC North Pitcher of the Year awards in the same season. Michael Polcyn and Marshall Zahn did the honors, respectively, as each also earned All-MWC North honors for the first time in their career.

A junior shortstop from Ripon, Wis., Polcyn is in his first year with the Red Hawks after transferring before the season. An Exercise Science major, Polcyn led the Midwest Conference in batting average (.426), hits (60), runs scored (50), home runs (12), walks (31), total bases (118), slugging pct. (.837) and on base pct. (.525). He was also second in the MWC in doubles (16) and third in RBI (44).

Marshall Zahn was dominant on the mound for much of the year, especially during the conference season, helping him nab MWC Pitcher of the Year honors. The junior Business Management major from De Pere, Wis. was third in the league in ERA (2.37) and strikeouts (52), while walking just eight batters in his 49.1 innings of work to go along with a 5-1 record. In his four conference starts, Zahn went 4-0 with a 0.90 ERA, 39 strikeouts and just four walks in 30 innings, while opponents batted .202 against him.
