Freshman Jimmy Dolan of St. Thomas Academy drove in transfer Jake Steinbach of Wayzata with the winning run in the last of the 12th inning as No. 2-ranked St. Thomas baseball edged No. 14-ranked Linfield, 4-3, Friday evening in Tucson, Ariz.

It's was the Toms' opening game of the season but the 18th game for Linfield (11-7), the 2013 national champions.

St. Thomas is set to play No. 13-ranked Concordia-Chicago later tonight at 9:45 p.m. Minnesota time.
