The Hawks threatened in the top of the first, putting runners at second and third, but starter Padraic Getchell induced a pop up to end the inning.

It was scoreless through 2.5 innings until Ryan Burmeister scored on a Hilbert error as the Saints led 1-0 after three innings.

St. Scholastica opened it up in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on four hits. Sam Christofferson tripled and then scored on a Bret Moody single.
