Northboro, MA --- Andrew Portera (Alpharetta, GA) allowed only one hit in the first seven innings and DJ Ouellette (Watertown, CT) led WPI at the plate with a 3-for-3 day, including four RBI and four runs scored as the Engineers snapped a five-game skid with a 12-0 victory in a NEWMAC baseball matchup on Tuesday at the New England Baseball Complex.

Later in the frame, Nick Comei (Haverhill, MA) sent a single through the left side to chase home Mulready for the 2-0 Engineer advantage.

Ouellette smacked a three-run homerun to highlight the five-run fourth while Alex Venditti (Newton, MA) homered to right center and Steve Petry (Worcester, MA) drew a bases loaded walk in the fifth.

The Lions broke up the shutout in the ninth as Malcolm Kelner (Minnetonka, MN) singled, stole second and scored following a pair of wild pitches. Jim Cain (Wakefield, MA) doubled down the left field line to deliver a two-out RBI in the form of Connor Damiano (Randolph, NJ) for the 12-2 final.

Greene (2 RBI, 2 runs) and Mulready (RBI, run) each went 3-for-5 as Vinny D'Ambrosio(Mahopac, NY), Comei and Sean Kelly (Shrewsbury, MA) all notched a pair of hits for the Engineers.
