NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Sophomore Mike Piekarczyk (Dudley, Mass.) collected three RBI's including the go-ahead RBI double in the top of the seventh to lead the Nichols College baseball team passed Framingham State 5-4 at the New England Baseball Complex to close out the 2015 season.

With the win, the Bison close out the season with a five-game winning streak – which is the first time they have had a five-game winning streak since the 2005 season.

Junior Benjamin Harrow (North Reading, Mass.) paced the Bison with three hits and two runs while freshmen Spencer Madden (Nashua, N.H.)Brendan Martin (Nashua, N.H.), and Cam Cook (Phoenixville, Pa.) each had two hits as Nichols moves to 10-19-1 on the year – the first time with double-digit wins since 2011.

The Bison trailed 3-2 heading into the seventh inning when Martin led off the inning with a single to center. Following a fielder's choice that swapped Martin for freshman Nick Roy (Middletown, Conn.), Harrow lined a single to right field to put runners on first and second.

Freshman Nick Osma (Babylon, N.Y.) drew a two-out walk to load the bases followed by Piekarczyk's RBI-double to center field to clear the bases. Piekarczyk was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a triple.

Freshman Kevin Kirley (Clinton, Mass.) came away with his first collegiate victory after pitching 1.2 innings of relief for freshman Vincent Amato (Brooklyn, N.Y) who allowed three runs through the first five innings on six hits and two walks while striking out one. Kirley allowed one run on no hits while walking four and striking out three.

Junior Joseph Nicolace (Cranston, R.I.) earned the save after allowing no runs on two hits over the last 1.1 innings. He walked one batter and struck out a pair of Rams.

Junior Brendan McDonough (Chelmsford, Mass.) took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits and one walk through an inning of relief. Starting pitcher junior Dillon Corliss (Winterport, Maine) allowed only two runs through five innings of work on eight hits and two walks while striking out three.

Senior Mark Mainini (Hull, Mass.) had a pair of RBI's on an RBI-double in a 3-run fifth inning to lead the Rams. Junior Jake Wardwell (Hudson, Mass.) reached base four times going 3-for-4 with a walk and one run scored.
