Heidelberg scores in all but one inning to defeat Bison, 15-5

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Nichols College baseball team fell 15-5 to Heidelberg University in non-conference action Sunday afternoon at the Snowbird Classic in Florida.

The Bison had two student-athletes with three hits in the game - juniorMatt Hardy (North Attleboro, Mass.) and sophomore Ross Caswell(Randolph, Vt.) - while Hardy scored two runs and Caswell drove in a pair and scored one.

Sophomore Cam Cook (Phoenixville, Pa.) added two hits while classmates Nick Osma (Babylon, N.Y.)Spencer Madden (Nashua, N.H.) and Scott Lynch (Hope, R.I.) as well as juniorTim Ford (Stafford Springs, Conn.) also picked up hits for the Bison.

Senior Derek Hug (Bryan, Ohio) exploded for five hits and five runs while driving in three and senior Clayton Wielinski (Metamora, Ohio) smashed his second bomb of the season in the third inning to lead the Student Princes to their third win of the year.

The Bison play Salem State at 2:30 later today.
