Baruch Falls to William Paterson in Game Called by Darkness

The baseball team lost 11-3 in eight innings (called by darkness) to the Pioneers of William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.

The Pioneers totaled 11 runs on 18 hits as their player Jimmy Kenny hit for the cycle in the win.

The Pioneers broke open the contest in the seventh inning with five runs on five hits to increase their lead before the game was halted by darkness.

The Bearcats got on the scoreboard in the third inning as
Luca Altamiranocame around on a fielding error.

Edwin Saint-Hilairesmacked an RBI single in the sixth inning and Dan Daleyscored during a double-play in the seventh to round out the team scoring.  

Overall, the Bearcats finished with five total hits in the tough loss.

They will enjoy a brief break and resume action with their home opener on Tuesday, March 15, with a 3:30 p.m. home contest at MCU Park on Coney Island against The United States Merchant Marine Academy.
