Elms Rallies to Defeats Bearcats (9-6)

The baseball team scored early but lost 9-6 as the Blazers of Elms College rallied for the win on Monday morning in Fort Myers, Florida.

The Bearcats opened the scoring in the first inning with
Matthew Ballonescoring on an error, but soon after Elms put up a five spot in the third inning.

Baruch rallied with five runs of their own in the fifth with
Donovan Huntstarting the scoring with an RBI single. It was followed by two runs scoring on a bases loaded hit by pitch and walk, and was later capped off with a two run single by Luca Altamiranoto take the lead back 6-5.

The Blazers responded with three runs in the bottom of the seventh and one in the eighth to re-take the 9-6 lead.The Bearcats were held scoreless the rest of the way and suffered the non-conference loss.

The Bearcats will look to get back to their winning ways on Thursday March 10, as they will play at William Paterson University at 3:30 p.m. in Wayne, New Jersey.
