Bison's comeback falls short to Keystone, 7-5

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Nichols College baseball team fell to Keystone 7-5 in non-conference action Friday afternoon at the North Charlotte County Regional Park in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Five different student-athletes had a pair of hits for the Bison including sophomore Cam Cook (Phoenixville, Pa.) who also drove in two runs. Sophomore Nick Roy (Middletown, Conn.) went 2-for-3 in the game with an RBI and a run scored while classmate Brendan Martin (Nashua, N.H.) went 2-for-4 including an RBI-single in the seventh inning.

Senior Brandon Eady (Bowie, Md.) drove in three runs for the Giants while senior Nate Ross (Albuquerque, N.M.) finished the day 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored.

Junior Adam Rigney (Niantic, Conn.) pitched seven innings for the Bison allowing six runs (five earned) on 13 hits while walking two and striking out six.

The Bison take on North Central (IL) later today at 4:00 p.m.
