Seventh inning collapse hands Bison first loss of season to Anderson, 14-7

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Nichols College baseball team fell 14-7 to Anderson (IN) in the Snowbird Classic Saturday evening at North Charlotte Regional Park.
 
The Bison led for much of the game but let the Ravens explode for nine runs in the seventh inning to take their first lead which they would hold on to.
 
Freshman Kyle Bouchard (Fall River, Mass.) continued his tear – going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs batted in. Junior Brendan Martin (Nashua, N.H.) finished the game with three hits while classmateCam Cook (Phoenixville, Pa.) had two hits – both runners scored a pair of runs.
 
The Ravens were led by sophomore Austin Cain (Monroe, Ohio) and freshman Wil Davis (Suffolk, Va.) who both had four hits. Freshman Adam Paschal (Muncie, Ind.) scored a pair of runs and drove in three – including the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning on a single to center.
 
All-Time Series
This marked the first time these two teams have faced off and the Ravens now own the all-time series at, 1-0.
