Shenandoah (14-1) scored three runs on five hits in the bottom of the first inning to provide starting pitcher Colin Morse with all of the support he would need.

Morse (3-0) ran into a little trouble with two hits and two walks in the second, but the strong offensive support was more than enough against the Mounties (3-9).

The junior right-hander departed after five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and five walks. He also struck out five.

Matt Burns pitched the sixth, seventh, eighth and first two outs of the ninth and yielded just one hit while striking out three. Brian Roden got the final out on a groundball to second.

A five-run second, on five hits and one walk, turned the contest into a rout. Dan Cameron, Jake Loew, Nick Goode and Dylan Stouffer all had RBIs in the frame with Cameron driving in a pair on a double down the leftfield line.

Eight of the nine starters had at least one hit with Luke Nussman's 4-for-5, two RBI day leading the day. Cameron had three hits in four at-bats and drove in five while Goode had three hits and drove in three runs.

Luke Stultz (1-2) was tagged with the loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk in 1 1/3 innings of work.

Shenandoah takes to the road on Tuesday for a non-league contest at Dickinson.
