Hitting Leads No. 7 Panthers to Clean Sweep of Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. – No. 7 Birmingham-Southern baseball remains on top of the Southern Athletic Association after routing Hendrix College 16-7 in the series finale Sunday.  The Panthers are now 19-5 overall, and 8-1 against SAA opponents.

 

Three Panthers finished with three hits on the day led by Preston White (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) who went 3-for-5, including two doubles, with four runs and an RBI.

 

Tyler Wise (Birmingham, Ala./Spain Park HS) and David Scott (Atlanta, Ga./Woodward Academy) also earned three hits in the win.  Wise was 3-for-5 including a double with three runs and an RBI.

 

Easton Fuller (Fairhope, Ala./Alexandria HS) earned the win after going four scoreless innings and giving up just two hits.

 

The Panthers return home for a single game against LaGrange College on Tuesday, March 28.  First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
