BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 5 Birmingham-Southern baseball upset No. 3 LaGrange College 4-1 Tuesday night on Striplin Field. The Panthers (20-5) scored the eventual game winner in the second inning and held LaGrange scoreless for the last seven innings.

Rich Misischia (Dothan, Ala./Regis HS), Preston White (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School), and Jacob Drescher (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) each had two hits on the night.  Misischia and White each scored a run.

The win went to starter Ross James (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Notre Dame Regional HS). 

BSC remains home for their next series. They host Rhodes College April 1-2 with a doubleheader on Saturday that starts at 1 p.m.
