READING, PA. -- Dave Tatoian drove in seven runs, going 3-for-5 with two home runs as Gwynedd Mercy throttled Albright, 15-3, on Wednesday.

The seven RBI's are one shy of a single game record and he becomes the fifth player in program history to drive in seven or more runs. Shaughn Wright doubled and also went deep as he was 3-for-4 with three RBI's.

Starting pitcher Zach Dennis worked five shutout innings while striking out two lion batters. Nick DeRitisLiam Sullivan, Tatoian and Sachael Sciarretta all worked scoreless innings in relief.

The Griffins jumped out early in the first inning thanks to a Tatoian two-run blast.

A three-run second inning broke the game open thanks to a pair of rbi singles from Tommy Nardini andJason Mulvey. Mulvey would later score in the frame for a 5-0 Griffin lead.

Nick Mulvey would double in a run followed by a Tatoian sac-fly would extend the lead to 7-0 after the top of the fourth.

Wright's two-run homerun in the fifth and rbi single in the sixth would give the Griffins a 10-0 lead.

Tatoian would keep it going in the seventh with his second blast of the game a three-run shot.

Albright would get a pair of unearned runs in the home half of the seventh but Sullivan was able to work out of a second and third no out situation.

After Iziah Trimble scored on a passed ball, Tatoian would put a bookend to the offense with his third hit of the game and seventh rbi with a single to plate Nick Mulvey.

Nick Mulvey finished the day 3-for-5 with three runs scored while Nardini went 2-for-3.

The Griffins return back to action over the weekend. They will travel to Keystone on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start and will return home on Sunday to host the Giants in a doubleheader with a 1 p.m. start time as well.
