UTICA, N.Y. – For the second consecutive game, the St. John Fisher College baseball team produced 17 hits as the Cardinals completed the three-game sweep of Utica College on Sunday behind an 11-6 win.  The decision improved Fisher's season mark to 21-9 including a 9-3 record in Empire 8 action.  Utica fell to 12-13 overall and 4-8 in the conference standings.

Of Fisher 17 hits, seven went for extra bases including five doubles.  Justin Graham, who surpassed the 100 career hit plateau in just his sophomore season, was 3-for-6 at the dish with a double, two RBI and a run scored while Scott Eisenmenger had three hits in four at-bats with a double, a home run, four RBI and two runs scored.  Victor Konstantinovsky homered for the second straight game while Ryan Fahy was 3-for-5 on the day with a double and an RBI.  Stephen Edgett, Antony Mantova and Konstantinovsky each accounted for two hits in the win.

The Pioneers got off to a strong start as the home team sat Fisher down in order in the top of the first before plating two runs on the strength of a one-out double to hold a slight edge.

Fisher got one back in the top of the second when Fahy double home Eisenmenger who had been hit by a pitch to lead off the frame.  The Cardinals struck again in the next inning as Edgett roped a double and scored thanks to an error by the Utica infield to knot things up at 2-2.  As the frame continued, Eisenmenger took advantage of the error as the Hilton native extended his hitting streak to 10 games with an RBI-double to center to put the visitors on top, 3-2.

After giving a run back in the bottom of the third, Fisher jumped back out in front in the fourth with a two-run double by Graham to make it 5-3.  The advantage was short-lived, however, as Utica roared back in the home half of the fourth with three runs on two hits including a bases-clearing double to claim a 6-5 lead.

After a scoreless fifth inning, Fisher began to wear down the Pioneers' pitching as the Cardinals came away with three runs on five hits.  Ryan Simmons led off with an infield single before Konstantinovsky blasted the go-ahead, two-run shot to left to make it 7-6.  From there, Edgett and Graham lined back-to-back singles before Edgett scored despite Utica turning a double play.

Leading by two runs in the eighth inning, Eisenmenger created some breathing room for the Cardinals' bullpen after crushing a three-run homer that scored Graham and Mantova who had doubled and singled, respectively, to begin the inning.

Jared Wren got the call to start as the freshman went 3.0 innings and allowed three runs on four hits with three strikeouts.  Pat Galer came in to pitch the fourth and lasted two-thirds of an inning after giving up three runs.  Dillan Wilkinson earned the win to move to 2-0 after the lefty provided 4.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts.  Jack Delaney pitched a hitless ninth inning.

The Cardinals will look to make it six wins in a row at 4 p.m. on Monday when they travel across town to take on The College at Brockport.
