ASHLAND, Va. - Seniors Cole Migliorini (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) and Joseph Tuzzolo (Newport News, Va./Menchville) combined for seven hits and nine RBI as the fourth-ranked Randolph-Macon baseball team topped St. Mary's 14-3 Thursday afternoon on Hugh Stephens Field at Estes Park.

After SMC put up two in the top of the second, R-MC responded in the bottom of the frame. Sophomore Zach Evans (Fort Mill, S.C./Seneca) had a one-out triple and Duphorn was plunked a second time. After Duphorn stole second, Evans scored on a groundout by junior Jeff Butler (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) to break the deadlock. Migliorini launched a two-run homer to right, his fifth dinger of the season, to give the home team a 5-2 advantage.

Sophomore Reece Yeargain (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) belted a one-out homer in the third, his fifth of the year, to extend the lead to 6-2.

In the fourth, Migliorini had a two-run triple, Spiers followed with an RBI double and Tuzzolo added a run-scoring single as the Yellow Jackets went up 10-2.

The Seahawks tallied one in the top of the seventh before R-MC added four in the bottom of the inning. Duphorn knocked in a run with a fielder's choice, Butler added an RBI single and Tuzzolo capped the rally with a two-run single to give the Yellow Jackets a 14-3 lead.

Duphorn scored three, Evans went 2 for 2 with two walks and two runs, and Butler had two runs and two RBI for R-MC.

Sophomore Michael Zubovich (Chantilly, Va./Freedom) earned the victory, going 5.0 innings with five hits, two runs, one walk and four strikeouts to raise his record to 2-0.
