HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian overcame a 3-2 deficit to score three runs on four hits and a walk in the sixth, reclaiming the lead 5-3. Wood led off with double down the left field line and Hayes followed with a home run to left to put the Bulldogs up 4-3. After a flyout, Croci drew a walk and sophomore Tristin Richardson sacrificed him to second base. Senior Frank Resto delivered home Croci with an insurance tally on a RBI-single down the third base line.

= In its previous at-bat, Alma struck for three runs on four hits and a walk of its own to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 advantage. The bottom of the fifth inning began with a one-out double by Finzel. After Dwan walked, Koin hit a RBI-single to left center to plate Finzel to get the Scots on the scoreboard. Pete Carravallah immediately followed with a RBI-single to left and two batters later Anstandig gave Alma a brief lead with a RBI-single to center.

= Alma posed scoring threats in the seventh and eighth innings, but Banks and Williams pitched out of jams. In the seventh, the Scots sent six batters to the plate but could score only one run on two hits and a walk. Acker connected for a RBI-double down the left field line to close within 5-4, but Banks got Logan Huff to ground out to third base and Matt Minaudo to foul out to the catcher with two runners in scoring position. In the eighth, Dwan walked and Koin singled off Williams and the Scots had two on-base with only one out. But the contest ended when Williams induced a force out and a pop up in the infield.

= The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a throwing error and scored another run two frames later on a Richardson sacrifice fly to left field.
