The Nichols College baseball team defeated Springfield College 12-4 in a non-conference game at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Florida.

Freshman David Caron (3-for-6) drove in four runs for the Bison (8-5) on two doubles, while scoring three runs in the game. Classmate Cameron Legvold collected three hits himself (3-for-5) with an RBI. The reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, and D3baseball.com third baseman of the week continued to rake, driving in three runs on two hits. The Bison exploded for five runs in the third inning to propel themselves out to a 5-1 lead before putting up another five-spot in the top of the ninth to secure the 12-4 victory.

The Pride (3-4) were led by Brandon Russo who scored two runs on two hits. Jack Cooney drove in two runs for Springfield, while going 1-for-3 at the plate. Nichols sent freshman Brendan Duffy to the mound for the start, he went four innings, giving up three runs (two earned), on four hits and three strikeouts. Junior Brodie Altiere came in to relive Duffy in the fifth inning and ended up with the win, his first of the season. Altiere went four innings giving up no runs on two hits, while punching out two batters.

-The Bison are now 6-0, on the spring break trip to Florida.
-The Bison's 15 hits it tied for a season-high, the other time coming against Ursinus on March 15.
-Carons's two stolen bases today gives him the CCC lead with eight on the season.
